A major investigation appears to have been launched by city cops following an incident in North Glasgow.
Maryhill Road has been closed off by the force near the Science Park tonight at around 6pm.
Motorists travelling to Bearsden were met by force officers and other 999 crews this evening.

A source told the Glasgow Times: "There were police everywhere, something big must have happened.
"I was heading home to Bearsden and I wasn't allowed to drive down the road."
Pictures from the scene show traffic cops huddled in conversation while a bike appears to have been damaged and is positioned at the side of the road.
There is also an ambulance on site.
The community page No1seems2care said in a post: "There has been an accident on Maryhill Road just by the roundabout at the Science Park. Road is closed and they are sending all the cars back down Maryhill Road.
"Lots of police and ambulances are there."
One person commented: "Was wondering what the sirens were about. Loads have gone down."
Police Scotland has been contacted.
