A top cop has welcomed the conviction of a man who murdered a disabled man in Glasgow.
As the Glasgow Times reported earlier today, Mark McConville, 39, was sentenced after killing William Duncan in 2022 in Sandyhills.
He was handed a life sentence, a minimum of 18 years, at the High Court in Glasgow.
Detective Inspector Frank Travers said: “Mark McConville committed a despicable act against a vulnerable member of the community.
“While nothing can change what happened, I hope the fact he has now been found guilty and will face the consequences of his actions will provide some degree of closure to William Duncan’s family and friends.”
