A group of thugs pinned down a man before robbing him on the Glasgow Subway.
The victim was travelling on the rear coach of a busy train on Saturday night when three men approached him and held him down.
They stole his phone and left the train soon after the attack.
The incident occurred at around 6.20pm while the train was travelling between Cessnock and Hillhead.
British Transport Police are now investigating the incident and urging any witnesses who would have been on the busy train to get in touch.
Detective Constable Martin Graham from Glasgow said: "I am appealing to anyone who was on board the busy train at this time on Saturday evening.
