A man is due in court following the death of a man in Greenock.
Cops were called to Angus Road at 9.50pm on Sunday evening after receiving a report of a disturbance involving three men.
All three were taken to hospital and one of them, a 37-year-old man, was pronounced dead a short time later.
Officers are treating the alleged incident as murder.
A 46-year-old man has since been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged incident.
He is expected to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court on Tuesday, August 1.
Extensive investigations are still being carried out into the man's death and anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 3916 of July 30, 2023.
