A man who was found dead in Greenock has been named by police.
As the Glasgow Times reported earlier, officers were called to Angus Road at 9.50pm on Sunday evening after receiving a report of a disturbance involving three men.
All three were taken to hospital and one of them, a 37-year-old man, was pronounced dead a short time later.
Officers are treating the alleged incident as murder and a 46-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death.
Now, the force has named the victim as Lee Elliott, from the local area.
Detective inspector Ally Semple of the Major Investigation Team said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Mr Elliot at this difficult time, as well as everyone in the local community affected by his death."
