A man has been rushed to hospital after an incident in Glasgow city centre.
It is understood police were called to the McDonald's on Trongate on Wednesday evening after a report of an assault.
Ambulance crews took a 45-year-old man to Glasgow Royal Infirmary to be treated for injuries.
Officers are now investigating the attack.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 7.30pm on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, we received a report of an assault at Trongate, Glasgow.
"Emergency services attended and a 45-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary by ambulance.
"Enquiries are ongoing.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 19:30 on August 2 to attend an incident at Trongate, Glasgow.
"An ambulance was dispatched to the scene and a patient was transported to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.”
