A Glasgow soft play centre has announced its sudden closure.

Fun World, an indoor soft play facility in the Shawlands area of the city, informed customers of the news on Monday.

A statement shared on their Facebook page read: "Business closed. 

"We would like to thank all our customers' support."

The news has come as a shock to locals, who shared their thoughts.

One person wrote: "So sad to see it go. Would like to thank Julia for the amazing service and looking after the kids over the many years we’ve been coming! Wishing you all the best."

Another said: "Wait what, we were literally here on Friday."

A third added: "Absolutely gutted one of the best wee soft play nicest staff amazing with the kids gutted for them."
