Sir Chris Hoy has reunited with a familiar face at the UCI Cycling World Championships in Glasgow.
The former champion cyclist has been in the city for the 13-day cycling event and bumped into his old primary school teacher who is volunteering.
The 47-year-old shared his thoughts on the experience in a heartfelt post on his Instagram page.
He wrote: "Just met my primary 3 teacher Ms Mitchell who’s volunteering at the @uci_cyclingworlds in Glasgow!
"Lovely to see her again after all these years! 😁 Events like these simply wouldn’t happen without people like her giving up their time free of charge, so massive thanks to her and all her colleagues.
"The championships have been a huge success so far and we still have a week to go!"
The UCI Cycling World Championships is being held in the city from August 3 to 13.
