A MAN made sexual comments about a four-year-old girl after asking for money.
Jaspal Singh, 46, approached the girl's mum outside a Greggs in Glasgow's Cardonald on June 16 2023.
A court heard Singh told her to teach the child "sucking" while making a gesture with his hand.
A witness also heard Singh say "Very nice" to the girl.
The trial heard he had earlier approached an unknown woman asking for £1 and made a reference to "sucky sucky."
Singh was found guilty to conducting himself in a disorderly manner and committed breach of the peace.
Court papers state Singh approached the unknown woman and uttered sexual comments to her.
The charge goes on to say Singh approached the mum and daughter.
Singh is stated to have attempted to touch the child and made sexual gestures.
He went on to utter comments of a sexual nature concerning the child and himself.
Singh then followed them which placed the pair in a state of fear and alarm.
He then took refuge in a local shop.
The court heard from Singh who stated in his evidence that he had cut a fence down for an elderly man.
He claims he was paid £3 and spent £1 of it in a local shop for juice.
Singh stated that he lost the other £2 and he "begged" the woman for £1 but she refused.
Prosecutor Gemma Barclay asked Singh if he mentioned "sucky sucky" to her.
He replied: "No."
Singh admitted speaking to the second woman but denied that she was with a child.
Miss Barclay said: "Did you say to a woman that you should teach her sucking about a four-year-old child?"
Singh again replied: "No."
Miss Barclay: "Did you say 'Where you go I will just follow you home'?"
Singh said: "No, I didn't say anything like that."
He was found guilty by Sheriff Patricia Pryce who commended the Crown witnesses.
She said: "Things concerning me about your evidence is that you don't accept the presence of a child - you seem to be confused.
"You seemed to change your story and I found your evidence less than convincing."
It was revealed that Singh - a dad - has previous convictions for domestic matters.
The sentence was deferred pending background reports until September.
Singh, of Cardonald, had his remand in custody continued.
