Eagle-eyed commuters may have spotted a bird of prey on the motorway today.
The winged creature was seen resting on a gantry on the M74 near the Raith interchange.
Traffic Scotland came across the bird on their traffic cameras and shared the image with its followers on Twitter, encouraging them to guess what bird it is.
It wrote: "Today's Wildlife Watch on the traffic cameras and we've come across this wee fella chillin' on the M74 above the Raith.
"Any budding Bill Oddie's care to tell us what kind of bird this is?"

Several social media users have been quick to guess that the bird is a buzzard.
According to the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, the buzzard is currently the most common and widespread bird of prey in the UK.
They vary in colour but all have dark wingtips and a finely barred tail.
Buzzards tend to eat small mammals, birds and carrion or earthworms and large insects when other prey is in short supply.
