An incident involving a 'bladed weapon' and 'firearm' is being treated as targeted, cops have revealed.

We previously reported that emergency services were called to Ladymuir Crescent in Pollok at around 8.10pm on Sunday following a report of a man being found injured. 

The 35-year-old was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. 

Glasgow Times:

It is understood a bladed weapon was involved.

While it is understood that the force is investigating the use of a possible firearm in the incident, the injured man was not shot. 

Officers do not believe that there is any wider threat to the public.

They are continuing to investigate the full nature of what happened and they are urging any witnesses to come forward.

Detective Inspector Phillip Kennedy said: “Around 8.10pm on Sunday, August 13, 2023, we received a report of a 35-year-old man being found injured outside a premises on Ladymuir Crescent, Glasgow.

"He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

“At this time, officers remain in the area.

"This is believed to have been a targeted incident and there is not believed to be any threat to the wider public.

“Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101, quoting incident 3587 of August 13, 2023.
