A 50-year-old man has been arrested and accused of a sexual offence involving a child.
Police said they made the arrest in the Glasgow area on Friday.
The Glasgow Times understands plain-clothed and uniformed officers carried out investigations at a property within a block of flats over several days.
A Police Scotland spokesperson told The Glasgow Times: "On Friday, August 18, a 50-year-old man was arrested in relation to a sexual offence in the Glasgow area involving a child.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
