A child has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car.
The 11-year-old girl was walking on Westburn Road in the Cambuslang area on Wednesday afternoon when the incident occurred.
Emergency services including cops and three ambulances raced to the scene at around 3.40pm.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 3.40pm on Wednesday, August 23, to a report of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian on Westburn Road, Cambuslang.
“The pedestrian, an 11-year-old girl, was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 15:31 on Wednesday August 23, 2023 to attend an incident on Westburn Road, Cambuslang.
"Three ambulances and one trauma team were dispatched to the scene, and one patient was transported to South Glasgow Children’s Hospital.”
