Residents in the East End of Glasgow were evacuated from their homes today following a gas leak.
999 crews raced to Alexandra Parade in Dennistoun at around 2.14pm following reports of concern from locals.
Two fire trucks were dispatched to the scene where residents were asked to temporarily evacuate their properties and Scottish Gas was alerted.
Crews left at around 3pm, once the area was made safe.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 2.14pm on Thursday, August 24 to reports of a gas leak on Alexandra Parade, Dennistoun, Glasgow.
"Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances to the scene, where firefighters confirmed a mains gas leak and alerted Scottish Gas.
"Residents were asked to temporarily evacuate their properties until the issue was resolved.
"Crews left shortly after 3pm once ensuring the area had been made safe."
