A MAN hunt has been launched after reports of an alleged sex attack on a teenager and a woman in Paisley.
Officers say the incidents both took place on Thursday, August 24, with the first happening at a cycle path near Maxwellton Street at around 2.25pm, and the second on the River Cart Walkway at 6.25pm.
The two victims – a 14-year-old girl and a 22-year-woman were uninjured but left shaken.
The two attacks are believed to be linked, and cops have now launched a search to track down the culprit.
He is described as being aged 18-23, with light-coloured facial stubble, wearing black trousers, and a black hooded top, with his head covered.
Police are also appealing for information regarding the reports of the sexual assaults and inappropriate behaviour.
Detective Inspector Alex Allardyce, from Paisley CID, said: “We’re appealing for anyone who was in these areas and witnessed anything suspicious to come forward.
“We are also keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the man in question on other Paisley cycle paths recently, and has any information on other potential incidents.
“If you believe you can assist our enquiries, please call police on 101, quoting incident 2189 of 24 August, 2023.
“There will be an increased police presence in the area over the coming days, with officers carrying out additional patrols. Anyone with any concerns should approach these officers for assistance.”
