A teenage girl was rushed to hospital after being 'stabbed' in a residential street as cops arrest boy, 15 following the alleged incident.

The girl, 15, was allegedly assaulted on Croftmont Avenue near Castlemilk around 6pm on Friday evening.

999 crews attended the scene and the girl was taken to hospital for treatment.

A boy, 15, was arrested and charged in connection with the alleged incident.

A report is due to be submitted to the relevant authorities.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.55pm, on Friday, September, 1 2023, police received a report of an assault of a 15-year-old female youth in Croftmont Road, Glasgow. Officers attended and she was taken to hospital for treatment.

“A 15-year-old male has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.  A report will be submitted to the relevant authorities."
