A Glasgow charity has recently been honoured after 'supporting vulnerable persons' in the city.
Glasgow City Mission's Overnight Welcome Centre received an award from Police Scotland Greater Glasgow for their 'dedication, commitment and professionalism' when helping vulnerable persons out of rough sleeping during the coldest months.

The honour was accepted by City Mission manager, Elyse MacKinnon, as she was joined by Housing Settlement officers, Alison Mitchell and Graham Kerr, Chief Superintendent Mark Sutherland and Provost of East Renfrewshire, Mary Montague.

This year’s Overnight Welcome Centre will open on December 1 and will be based in our building on Crimea Street.
Last year, the Centre helped 534 individuals avoid sleeping rough.
