A suspect is to stand trial charged with murdering a man in his own home.
Christopher Howe is accused of killing Paul Berry, 46, at the flat in Glasgow's Castlemilk last November 18.
Prosecutors claim the 37 year-old did repeatedly punch, kick and stamp on Mr Berry's head and body.
Howe faces a separate charge of attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
This includes accusations that he tried to clean up blood at the flat as well as get rid of footwear, clothes and a rug.
Among other allegations are that Howe also assaulted another man on the same day.
Lawyers for Howe pleaded not guilty on his behalf during a hearing at the High Court in Glasgow on Friday.
Lord Scott fixed a trial which is set to start in July 2024.
