Today, 48 new homes were approved to be built in Glasgow's West End.
As the Glasgow Times reported in October 2022, development company Nixon Blue submitted a bid to the council to raise two new residential buildings at Beith Street in Partick.
Now, the application has been accepted by planning bosses and the development will see the creation of 48 two-bedroom apartments, each with access to private outdoor terrace space.
Planning permission in principle was already granted in May 2021 and following this, the applicant has worked with Glasgow City Council to adjust and refine comments to address planning and local policies in the area.
As part of the greater Glasgow Harbour and regeneration masterplan, the new apartments will be two separate accommodation buildings, each six storeys in height.
The buildings will be similar in scale to the existing tenement flats and each flat will have a dual aspect.

Director of Nixon Blue, Richard McFadzean, said: “We have rigorously developed the design proposals which were approved in principle by Glasgow City Council.
"The apartments will be low-energy and high-quality accommodations which support, connect and regenerate this Partick site.
"By developing this land, we are looking to support the regeneration of the riverside and look forward to bringing this to the marketplace.”
