A Lanarkshire town was given a prestigious award for its beautiful environment.
Uddingston was given the acknowledgement of the Gold Award and lifted the trophy for Urban Community in the Beautiful Scotland competition.
Beautiful Scotland, a division of Keep Scotland Beautiful, acknowledges communities across the country for their outstanding efforts in enhancing their surroundings.
Grow Uddingston, a registered charity, has been a dedicated participant in Beautiful Scotland since the early 2000s, continuously striving to make their village a more beautiful and vibrant place to live.
The charity, spearheaded by Anona Fraser, has been instrumental in coordinating the community's efforts towards creating a more beautiful and sustainable place.
She said: "Receiving the Gold Award for Urban Community is an affirmation of the dedication and hard work that our community members have put in day after day.
"This award is a testament to the power of collaboration, the beauty of shared visions, and the potential we all have to shape a better future for Uddingston together."
The judges said: “The new planting and high standard of maintenance at the Gateway sign provides an excellent welcoming entrance to the town.
"There is a growing use and understanding of how the natural environment can be improved and used by the community.”
