More than 2,000 bluebells will be planted in a Glasgow park.
The 'carpet' of flowers will be created by children from several West End primary schools and will brighten Victoria Park.
Pupils from Whiteinch Primary, St Paul’s Primary and Scotstoun Primary Schools will be planting more than 2,000 native British bluebell bulbs at a single event.
This will take place in the area around the park’s famous ‘Still Game’ bench, on Wednesday, September 20 at 9.30am.
The planting has been arranged by Victoria Park Community Trust (VPCT), a community charity set up to foster grassroots involvement in the development of the park.

Trust chair Steve Nelson said “This initiative has many benefits for the community.
"As well as creating a beautiful spectacle for park visitors in springtime, it will also contribute in a very practical way to the environmental education of local children.
"While at the planting, we also hope to introduce them and their teachers to our Biodiversity Garden, which we are developing on adjacent ground.”
The event follows the successful crocus bulb planting in the early years of the park by previous generations of primary children and has been funded by the national charity ‘Volunteering Matters Action Earth’.
