A teen was rushed to hospital and two others were arrested following an incident on Saturday night.
A boy, 17, was taken to the Royal Alexandria Hospital for treatment after he was allegedly attacked on West Princes Street, Helensburgh on Saturday (September 16) around 10.50pm.
His condition is unknown.
Two male youths, aged 16 and 17, were arrested in connection with the alleged serious assault.
They were charged and appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Monday, September 18.
A probe remains ongoing and the force is keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident.
Detective Constable Calum Hall said: “This was a serious assault and our enquiries are continuing.
"There were a lot of people around at the time of the incident and we are keen to speak to anyone who has not already been in touch with officers.
