A young woman was taken to hospital after falling into a river in Glasgow.
The 21-year-old fell into the White Cart water in the city's Pollok on Friday evening.
She was rescued by a local officer, PC McPherson, who entered the water to help her.
The woman was taken to hospital to be checked over as a precaution.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "On Friday evening a 21-year-old female fell into the White Cart river, Pollok and was rescued to safety by the brave and selfless actions of PC MacPherson who entered the water.
"The female was taken to hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service as a precaution."
