Two men have been arrested after a man was 'slashed' in the city centre.

A 29-year-old was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital after he was allegedly attacked on Union Street around 2.20pm on September 14.

Now, the force has revealed two men, aged 27 and 30, were charged in connection with the alleged incident.

They are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today (Tuesday, September 26).

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.20pm on Thursday, September 14 2023, we were called to a report of a disturbance on Union Street, Glasgow.

“A 29-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

“Two men aged 27 and 30 were arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

"They are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 26 September, 2023.”
