The Bellshill Post Office has officially moved into its permanent location.
Previously, the permanent branch was forced to close due to the resignation of the postmaster in August 2022, leaving the community without a nearby service.
A temporary office was set up a month later at a Bellshill Shopping Centre unit and it was announced that a permanent one would be created.
Now, the new Post Office has officially re-opened at a SPAR store, 250 - 256 Main Street, Bellshill.
The temporary postmaster will now become the permanent postmaster at the new location.
The service will be open Monday to Friday: 9am to 5.30pm and on Saturdays, 9am to 2pm.
There will also be additional hours at the Post Office counter alongside the retail counter, providing selected services, Monday to Friday: 5.30 to 7pm and Saturdays, 2pm to 5pm.
Steven Simpson, Post Office network provision lead, said: “We are delighted to restore a permanent Post Office, with extended opening hours, to this area as we know how important a Post Office is to a community.
"The branch’s opening hours will make it convenient for customers to visit.”
