A retailer has confirmed the opening of its first Scottish store at a Glasgow shopping centre.
Pop Specs, a fashion glasses retailer, that provides and fits stylish prescription spectacles in just 20 minutes, will open a store at Silverburn.
The company's first Scottish venue will open on Sunday, October 1 and will provide shoppers with high-quality, single vision glasses for just £75.
The firm has locations already in Manchester, London, Chester, Sheffield, Milton Keynes, Lakeside and Newcastle.
Founder Daniel Barnes said: “We are very excited to be launching in Glasgow and bringing Pop Specs to Scotland!
"We welcome the Glaswegian fashion-connoisseurs and look forward to helping them show their sense of style through their eyewear. Silverburn Glasgow will be our first store in a new country and we are delighted to be providing even more shoppers with a quicker, more affordable and more fashionable alternative to the big brand highstreet opticians.
“The quality and style of our glasses will hopefully resonate with shoppers who can come along with their current prescription, chat to us about their style, pick the perfect frames and order their glasses.
"In nine out of 10 cases, they can then come back 20 minutes later to collect their glasses and have them perfectly fitted to the unique shape of their face.”
