A man has been arrested following an incident on the M74.
A stolen BMW was spotted driving on the M74 near Daldowie on Friday (September 29) afternoon.
The force claims the car was kitted out with cloned number plates.
A 24-year-old man allegedly wanted on nine apprehension warrants was arrested following the incident.
Officers claim he refused roadside drug tests, was disqualified from driving, and did not have insurance.
The man is due in court on Monday charged with the alleged offences.
Officers were praised for stopping the car safely and were able to return the vehicle "damage free" to its owner.
It is understood the motorway was closed between around 4pm and 6.20pm amid the incident.
The wee "man about town" driving this BMW had recently started to get a bit too big for his own boots...
