A former housing office in Castlemilk could be transformed into a series of takeaways and shops under new plans.

Building firm NVDC Architects has made a planning application to transform an office building at 15 Dougrie Road into two shops and three hot food takeaways.

Located across the road from the Glasgow Club Castlemilk and near to The Braes shopping centre, the officers were previously occupied by the Wheatley Group, formerly known as Glasgow Housing Association.

It is not yet known which takeaways or retailers will be moving into the unit.

The site is 2,176 metres squared and would be divided into units that vary in size according to plans.

Glasgow City Council bosses are currently considering the application and a decision is expected by Friday, November 24.

The last day for comments is Monday, October 30.
