A top cop has spoken out after a number of arrests were made before the Celtic vs. Lazio game.
The Hoops faced the Italian side at Parkhead on Wednesday in their second Champions League group stage fixture where a 95th-minute goal sealed a last-minute win for Lazio and ended the game 2-1.
A police presence was dispatched to the stadium and a plan was in place to help avoid disruption.
The force has revealed that three men were charged in connection with alleged acts of disorder before kick-off.
They are due to appear in court.
Chief Superintendent David Robertson, local police commander, said: “A comprehensive police plan was in place for the match between Celtic and Lazio, with the appropriate resources allocated to the event to ensure safety and minimise disruption to the wider public.
“Three men, 48, 24 and 18, were arrested and charged in relation with acts of disorder prior to the event.
“All three are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date.”
