Councillor Ruairi Kelly, Glasgow’s Convener for Neighbourhood Services and Assets, said: “Around 40 new black metal benches and 20 picnic benches are being installed across the city.
"Some of the other locations to benefit from new benches include Festival Park in Govan, the Play Village on Glasgow Green, the Tramway, the Southern Necropolis, the Botanic Gardens and the Thornwood area.
“This new ‘street furniture’ is in addition to existing seating or picnic facilities and will provide more places for people to rest and relax while enjoying the city’s green spaces.”
