A teen has been rushed to hospital following a crash in Glasgow.
Two vehicles were involved in a smash on Tollcross Road in the city's East End on Tuesday night.
Emergency services were called at around 7pm and closed the road for around three hours.
The casualty, an 18-year-old woman, was a passenger in one of the cars.
The other car is alleged to have fled the scene and officers later traced it.
A 40-year-old man was charged in connection with road traffic offences.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.10pm on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, we were called to a report of a two-vehicle crash on Tollcross Road, Glasgow.
“Emergency services attended and the passenger of one of the vehicles, an 18-year-old woman, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
“The driver of the other vehicle made off and was later traced. The 40-year-old man was charged in connection with road traffic offences and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
“The road was closed while investigations were carried out and reopened around 10.45pm.”
