A bridge that was set to be delivered to Glasgow today has been delayed due to safety concerns.

However, due to wind conditions, the arrival of the Govan-Partick Bridge main span has been postponed for today due to safety concerns.

The bridge, which is expected to be open by Spring next year, will re-establish a crossing between the two historic areas, from Water Row to Pointhouse Quay near the Riverside Museum.
Work on the supports has been ongoing and the main span of the bridge was due to arrive today after a 5-day sea trip from the Netherlands.
Port authorities have said that the bridge may continue its journey tomorrow "subject to favourable weather conditions".
