999 crews were alerted to a burning car on a Cumbernauld road.
Firefighters were dispatched following the reports of the flames around 1pm today, on Deerdykes Road.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended with one firetruck and the flames were extinguished.
There are no reports of injuries.
In pictures taken by Camera Club member David Harkins, the vehicle can be seen engulfed in flames, as well as firefighters on the scene.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 12.58pm on Monday, 16 October to reports of a car on fire on Deerdykes Road, Cumbernauld.
"Operations Control mobilised one appliance to the scene to make the area safe.
"There were no reported casualties."
