A Glasgow home care company has been shortlisted for two major awards.
Home Instead, based in North Lanarkshire and Glasgow East, has been nominated for two gongs at this year's British Recruitment Awards for their work in 'revolutionising' home care recruitment.
The company's methods to recruit new care professionals and meet the growing demand for home care have been highlighted in the nomination for In-House Recruitment Team of the Year.
Meanwhile, their group recruitment and retention manager, Fiona Lauder, has been shortlisted for Leader of the Year.
Under Fiona's leadership, the company established an internal recruitment team which expanded from three to seven members and saw job applications increase by 62%, while employee turnover was reduced by 36%.
In a bid to encourage more male applicants, Home Instead also launched its #MenCanCare campaign which, combined with the promotion of guaranteed income and salaried contracts, saw the number of men applying for roles double in the past six months.
Speaking about her nomination, Fiona said: "I am delighted to be shortlisted for the Leader of the Year Award.
"Together we’ve achieved so much and I look forward to the future at Home Instead with our dedicated Scotland team.”
Owner Suhail Rehman said: "At Home Instead, we understand the importance of home care and the impact it can have on an individual and their health.
"We recognised the need for innovative recruitment strategies and our creative approach has proven incredibly successful, attracting passionate care professionals who deeply value the support and care we provide to older adults.
“We are thrilled to have been shortlisted for this award and see it as recognition of the great work our team delivers across Scotland.
"We look forward to carry on making a difference in the care sector.”
The award ceremony will be held on Wednesday, November 8 at Salsa! In Temple Place, London.
