Cops are still investigating a 'suspect item' after STV's Glasgow studios were evacuated.
Emergency services descended on Govan Road near the broadcaster's studio on Tuesday evening following a report of a suspicious item in a car park.
Several roads and the Clyde Arc bridge were shut while the bomb squad attended to carry out a controlled explosion of the item.
It was later found to be 'not viable', but we previously reported that Police Scotland had launched an investigation into what happened.
As of Thursday, October 19, enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called around 6.40pm on Tuesday, 17 October, 2023, to a report of a suspect item in a car park in Govan Road, near the South Rotunda, in Glasgow.
“A cordon was put in place as a precaution, EOD attended and carried out a controlled explosion. The item was found to be not viable.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
