A shocking incident in which fire ripped through six homes is not being looked at as suspicious, cops have revealed.
We previously reported that a blaze broke out at the homes in Whitelee, East Kilbride on Friday evening.
There were no reported injuries but footage shared with the Glasgow Times showed flames envelope the building as horrified neighbours looked on.
Cops investigating the fire have determined that there were no suspicious circumstances relating to the cause.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.40pm on Friday, October 20, 2023, we were called to a report of a fire at a block of flats, Whitelee, East Kilbride.
"Emergency services attended and six properties were evacuated.
"There are no reported injuries.
"There are no suspicious circumstances and no further police involvement.”
