Plans for a retail giant to open its flagship Glasgow store have taken a step forward.
Illuminated signage has gone up for Next as the brand prepares to move into the former Topshop unit on Argyle Street.
The shop front has been covered with hoarding vinyl which now reads 'coming soon' as work continues on getting the unit ready.
We previously reported that the store was expected to open sometime in October, and it looks to be on track.
Anne Ledgerwood, St. Enoch's centre director, previously said: "We are thrilled to reveal plans for a new flagship store at St. Enoch Centre for much-loved retailer Next.
"The brand has been a key fixture on Glasgow’s retail scene for years and its return to Argyle Street is great news for shoppers.
"The new opening builds on our current diverse offer and cements the Centre’s place on the map as the city’s top shopping and leisure destination."
It comes after Next moved out of the unit across the street and was replaced by discount shoe retailer Deichmann.
A Next spokesperson said: "Next are excited to be joining St. Enoch Centre and being back on Argyle Street after leaving it last year.
"We look forward to showcasing our latest Autumn/Winter ranges in Scotland’s fashion capital with a planned opening in October."
An exact opening date has not been revealed, but Next has been contacted for a comment.
