A man has died following an incident in a busy street.
Cops were called to Farmeloan Road in Rutherglen at around 7pm on Tuesday night in response to a report of a disturbance.
A 38-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Murder cops are treating his death as suspicious and they are continuing to investigate what happened.
While multiple reports from the scene and on social media claim he was stabbed, the force remained tight-lipped on this.

They did reveal that they believed there were multiple people on the street at the time of the alleged incident and detectives are urging any potential witnesses to get in touch.
Meanwhile, a 39-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with possessing an offensive weapon.
He is due to appear in court tomorrow.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 7pm on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, we were called to reports of a disturbance on Farmeloan Road, Rutherglen.
"Emergency services attended and a 38-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The death is being treated as suspicious and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.
“A 39-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with possessing an offensive weapon. He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday, October 26, 2023.
"Enquiries have so far revealed that a number of people were involved in this incident and anyone with any information is encouraged to come forward.
"Closures are in place on Farmeloan Road and Victoria Street. Drivers are urged to use an alternative route."
We previously reported on the closures at Farmeloan Road and Victoria Street, which have been in place since Tuesday night.
A police cordon is in place and traffic is being redirected while officers stand guard at the scene.
