The festive lights were put up today on Glasgow's George Square.
Council workers were spotted this afternoon decorating the city centre square with Christmas bulbs and ornaments.
The lights will be switched on from 4.30pm to 7pm on Sunday, November 19 with the ticket ballot running on the Glasgow Life website between Wednesday, October 18 and Sunday, October 22.

This comes after we reported that Elfingrove, a large ice skating rink at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum was cancelled.
