A woman has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in Coatbridge.
999 crews raced to the scene around 7.45am on Tuesday morning following reports of the collision.
The woman was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and her condition is unknown.
We previously reported that emergency crews remain on the scene.
Police have locked down Old Monkland Road, Viewfield Road, and Woodside Street in response.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 7.45am on Tuesday, 31 October, 2023, police were alerted to a road traffic collision involving a female pedestrian and a car in Woodside Street, Coatbridge.
"Emergency services attended and a woman has been taken to the QEUH. Old Monkland Road, Viewfield Road and Woodside Street are closed."
