A major Glasgow motorway will be closed overnight for several days for essential maintenance.
The M8 will be shut between Junctions 25 and 12 during the months of November and December as the work will be carried out in two phases.

The diversion for this phase will operate as follows:
-
Eastbound traffic will leave the M8 at Junction 18, turning right onto the A804 St George’s Road and then right onto the A81 Garscube Road before turning left onto the A804 Dobbie’s Loan and rejoining the M8 eastbound at Junction 16.
-
Traffic for the Junction 19 eastbound on-slip will continue on North Street to Charing Cross and join the above diversion at St George’s Street.
-
Traffic for the Junction 15 eastbound off-slip road leaving the M8 on the right towards Castle Street will leave from the left of the M8 at Junction 15 onto the A803, turning left onto the A804 Baird Street then right onto Castle Street.
