A teenager is in "serious" condition after being hit by a car in Coatbridge.
As the Glasgow Times previously reported, 999 crews raced to a serious crash on Woodside Street at the junction with Viewfield Road in the town, around 7.45am this morning.
The pedestrian, a 19-year-old woman was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, where her condition is described as "serious but stable".

Officers closed several roads in the area, which reopened shortly before noon.
The investigation continues and cops asked any eyewitnesses to come forward.
Sergeant Stewart Taylor said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are keen to speak to anyone in the area at the time of the crash.
“In addition, if you have dash-cam footage that could assist with our investigation then please get in touch.”
