A broken down truck has resulted in police closing off a road in Glasgow's Maryhill.
Officers are at the scene of Maryhill Road where it meets Firhill Street this afternoon to prevent traffic from turning into the narrow road.
Police officers are standing on Maryhill Road near the Tesco superstore.
A source told the Glasgow Times the police were waiting on a recovery vehicle.
The source added: "The truck was stuck and had to go up the hill bit by bit and he has now managed to park in the corner where recovery has been arranged.
"They had to close the road, it would have been carnage."
A police van is parked stationary while officers block access to the road which is near McDonald's.
The police presence was spotted at around 12.30pm in the North Glasgow area.
