Glasgow's Lord Provost joined several members of the armed forces at George Square to mark Remembrance Sunday.
On a brisk morning, a crowd formed in the city centre square where Jacqueline McLaren, Deputy First Minister Shona Robison and members of the Armed Forces laid wreaths of poppies at the cenotaph to remember the fallen.
Images shared with the Glasgow Times showcase the poignant moment the city centre square paid its respects.
Other images also capture members of the armed forces marching past Glasgow's City Chambers as they salute passing Lord Provost, Jacqueline McLaren.
And Ms McLaren said it was a proud moment for her to be able to lay a wreath at the service.
The Lord Provost said: "Solemn day and so very proud to lay a wreath in my capacity as Lord Lieutenant on behalf of the city.
"A great turnout from Glasgow in the sunshine. Thanks everyone!"

Leader of Glasgow City Council, Susan Aitken, was also in attendance for the Remembrance Sunday Event.
A two-minute silence had also taken place at the cenotaph just outside the city chambers, with some veterans and children invited to lay a wreath too.
Up and down the country commemorations took place across the country, including in Edinburgh where the First Minister, Humza Yousef paid his respects.
The First Minister said it was an "honour" to lay a wreath on behalf of the Scottish Government.
"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old.

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them."
