A city shopping centre has revealed the date for its Christmas light switch-on alongside a jam-packed programme of festive events.
Princes Square will host its annual light switch-on event on Sunday, November 19.
Pianist Noreen Flynn will play Christmas favourites from 3pm with Santa Clause doing the official switch-on at 5pm.
A performance by award-winning community choir Soundsational will follow.
The shopping centre will host a variety of events leading up to Christmas, including photo opportunities with Santa, wreath-making workshops, and choir concerts.
For last-minute shoppers, Princes Square will be open for late shopping until 7pm from December 18.
Katie Moody, centre director, said: “Princes Square really is the place to be at Christmas.
"We’ve created festive events for all the family – many of which are free to attend.
"Our 42ft tree is back, with Santa doing the switch on and we’ll have Santa and his elves in for festive photo opportunities with the children.
"Our Festival of Choirs and other musical events will feature some of the best community choirs around, raising money for some vital local charities.
"Don’t miss the chance to try out some festive fayre in our bars and restaurants.
"We look forward to welcoming guests to Princes Square.”
