Two men are due to appear in court after drugs were discovered within an abandoned restaurant in Cambuslang.
The pair, 21 and 29, have now been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. They are due to appear in the dock at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.
It comes after we revealed that a cannabis cultivation worth an estimated street value of £185,000 was allegedly discovered in the Glasgow Road premises.
Sergeant Graham Reid said: “This was a very significant recovery and sends a clear message that drugs have no place in our community and we will use every tool at our disposal to remove these illegal substances from our streets.
“This activity highlights our continued commitment to tackling this issue locally as well as the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
“Intelligence from members of the public remains vital to our efforts and I would urge anyone with concerns of information about drugs to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
