A man is battling injuries in hospital after being hit by a taxi.
He was walking along Great Western Road in the early hours of Sunday morning when he was struck by the white vehicle.
The incident occurred at around 1.15am in the Knightswood area, and we previously reported that the road was closed westbound between Warden Road and Saxon Road before reopening at around 8.50am.
The 50-year-old is now in a 'serious' condition in hospital and detectives are investigating the incident.
They are now calling upon the public to get in touch if they witnessed the incident.
Anyone with dashcam footage which may prove useful is also asked to make contact.
Police Sergeant Sean Dempsey of the Road Policing Unit said: “I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have dash-cam footage, and has not yet spoken to or provided this information to officers, to contact us as soon as possible.
“Anyone with information should call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0264 of November 19."
