A Glasgow home care company has picked up two awards at a prestigious national event.
Home Instead, based in North Lanarkshire and Glasgow East, had a double win at this year's British Recruitment Awards for their work in 'revolutionising' home care recruitment.
The firm beat stiff competition from over 225 entries submitted from organisations across the UK.
Judges recognised Home Instead's methods to recruit new care professionals and meet the growing demand for home care, which led to their win for In-House Recruitment Team of the Year.
Meanwhile, their group recruitment and retention manager, Fiona Lauder, was awarded Leader of the Year.
Under Fiona's leadership, the company established an internal recruitment team which expanded from three to seven members and saw job applications increase by 62%, while employee turnover was reduced by 36%.
In a bid to encourage more male applicants, Home Instead also launched its #MenCanCare campaign which, combined with the promotion of guaranteed income and salaried contracts, saw the number of men applying for roles double in the past six months.
Speaking about the win, Fiona said: "I'm honoured to have won the Leader of the Year Award.
"We have made significant strides in home care recruitment, and I look forward to our continued efforts at Home Instead with our dedicated team."
Home Instead's owner Suhail Rehman added: "We're incredibly proud of this achievement at The British Recruitment Awards.
"It's a testament to our outstanding team's dedication and innovative approach to recruitment, aiming to make a positive difference in the care sector.
“Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional care, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see all our hard work acknowledged in these awards.”
