UPDATE: This road reopened at 8.30pm.
A Glasgow road has been closed due to a police incident.
Bartiebeith Road, which runs through the city's Wellhouse and Queenslie areas in the East End, is currently shut to all traffic.
The closure is in place from Baldovan Crescent to Wellhouse Crescent.
999 crews are on the scene of the incident and drivers are being urged to avoid the area and follow police instructions.
A Glasgow City Council traffic information bulletin issued at 7.30pm reads: "Due to an earlier RTC (road traffic collision), Bartiebeith Road is currently closed to all traffic from Baldovan Crescent to Wellhouse Crescent.
"Emergency services are in attendance. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and seek an alternative route."
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
