Glasgow has been named on a list of the best 100 cities in the world.

An annual report by Resonance Consultancy looks at more than 270 cities on the planet with a population of more than one million people.

Coming in at 61st place was our Dear Green Place, joining top choices such as Paris, Dubai, Tokyo and this year's winner, London.

The results are based on a number of aspects of how liveable, loveable and prosperous the city is.

Education, GDP, poverty rates, the number of restaurants, shops and nightclubs and walkability is considered.

The number of mapped bike routes, quality parks and museums are also taken into account, and the report considered the number of recommendations on sites such as Tripadvisor, Google, Facebook and Instagram.
